The end of the world apparently

According to my brother, if John McCain wins the presidential elections it will be the end of the world. I wouldn't go as far as saying it would be the end of the world, but he would definitely be a good candidate for more war in the middle east. I admire that he has a military record and he has served his country when it was needed. I respect this because lots of men in my family line have been to war! However, in an age of crazyness where you have to watch your back, your wallet and everything in between...Obama would be a nice change to the U.S. electorate. Obviously not everyone agrees with his ideology, but would you rather keep sending young men & women to their deaths or have peace domestically first with relative peace around the world. I think I am just doing some "wishful thinking" on my part. I am a Canadian and I do believe if push comes to shove action might be needed; however, I am also a conservative man with good moral values. I will probably go to bed tonight before ever knowing who will be the next president of the U.S. To be honest I don't really care that much about U.S. politics, but it has always been a favorite of mine as the American media exagerates every little thing with perfect detail. I wonder if Canadian politics would ever be as entertaining as our southern counter-parts! Let us hope for the best when we wake up tomorrow because tomorrow's post will discuss the results and how the U.S.' future president will fair in a "negatively viewed country" over the past 8 years!
